So finally I got my touchscreen PC which I use as a jukebox music player / TV and so. It´s great and this touch thing works much better than I thought, but that´s not what I wanted to talk about now. The story is about touch screen, but one thing that´s definitely – well let´s say – suboptimal.

I once came home and found the PC turned on, with strange websites opened, explorer windows and all in all definitely being used by someone - but not by me or my friend. I was really wondering, if there were thieves in here but there were no signs at all for some irruption. So all I could do was keep on wondering, more - and more - and more - because these strange things were happening repeatedly, and only when I was not around and NOT when I was working with the PC. So, a technical defect of the device was excluded, but what about a technical defect of the user, I actually began to doubt my own sanity.

Well, shortly before I voluntarily decided to visit a psychatrist for reasons of strong suspicion to dementia, paranoia or schizophrenia, luck was on my side to show me the real reason for all that stupid stuff. The reason was, you might already have guessed, small – in shape of a fly! No joke! I didn´t trust my eyes the first time I watched it messing up my system, as if it KNEW where it has to sit down to produce the worst damage possible! The reason is that it of course prefers places where there are tons of my own fingerprints and these are: close buttons, play pause buttons, menu bar, dock icons, link bookmarks, scrollbars, and the best: when it stays sitting on some place it can even activate the right click menu and can start some mess there too – and it did!
Another fatal fact: by simply sitting down it can wake up the PC from the sleep mode, so perfect for doing ANYTHING when I´m not around. Great!


Well, all in all, the good thing is, I don´t need a specialist. The bad thing is, I have no idea how to stop this efficiently, but well… The only thing I would really be peeved is if these flies some day start to do my online banking…

P.S.: I´m really planning to run photoshop overnight, with swatches and brushes opened and see what they will paint there, maybe a new style of wallpapers...
